There is no doubt that one of toughest jobs in the NBA is to be the head coach of a team. From managing players’ egos, designing plays, to making sure everyone on the team understands the scouting report, it’s all on his plate night in and night out.

Another task they have is watching film, which consumes a lot of their time even during rest days. To relieve him from the stress that comes with it, Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens shared, via Andy Brown of the Indy Star, what he does in between videos, which has become a staple for him.

“I play ‘Ms. Pac-Man' for 10 to 15 games as a break between video,” Stevens said. “And then I go on my jog, and go about my daily routine, but I make sure to get my ‘Ms. Pac-Man' game in at home every single day. 10-15 minutes (of video games) isn't that bad, tell your parents you're good.”

The 40-year-old’s stress-reliever may seem like a very unique one, but it has been very beneficial for him, especially with the Celtics having a lot of success the past two seasons. Although they failed to win the Eastern Conference, they were able to make deep runs in the playoffs, and have now established themselves as one of the league’s serious title contenders.

Now entering his fifth season as head coach, Stevens hopes that this will be the year the Celtics can get over the hump and finally advance to the NBA Finals. They have made a number of important moves to further improve their lineup, and he is hopeful that they are enough to topple the Cleveland Cavaliers and take them to the next level.

It remains to be seen how far they can go this coming season, but one thing that’s certain is Ms. Pac-Man will continue to be a huge part in bringing out the best in the young head coach and will help him prepare his team even better before games.
