Unfortunately for veteran shooting guard CJ McCollum and the Portland Trail Blazers, the team's Cinderella run down in Orlando recently came to an end at the hands of the top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers. Even so, McCollum is still quite in tune with what is happening in the “NBA Bubble” as the Trail Blazers star was clearly watching the Eastern Conference clash between the heralded Boston Celtics and defending NBA Champion Toronto Raptors on Tuesday evening. Obviously liking what he was seeing upon taking in the Eastern Conference semifinal matchup, McCollum was specifically impressed by former Charlotte Hornets and current Celtics point guard Kemba Walker.

Not quite done there, the Trail Blazers standout shooting guard continued to praise Kemba Walker as the Celtics went on to take a commanding 2-0 series lead over the always dangerous Raptors.

McCollum did pretty well himself during his time in Orlando, considering that the Trail Blazers two-guard was playing with a fractured back for the majority of his time in the “NBA Bubble.” After entering the NBA restart on the outside looking in at the Western Conference playoffs, McCollum and company quickly clawed their way back into the conversation en route to becoming the eighth and final seed when all was said and done. Adding to the uniqueness of this season as a whole, the Trail Blazers were first forced to take down the Memphis Grizzlies in an eight versus nine seed winner-take-all playoff elimination game.

With McCollum helping lead the Trail Blazers to victory over the Grizzlies, the aforementioned Lakers were simply too much to handle in the end.
