Enes Kanter has been as demonstrative as it gets when it comes to the social causes he advocates for. The Boston Celtics big man took it to another level in his latest move – changing his own name to support his cause.

That's right, folks. According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Enes Kanter will now be known as Enes Kanter Freedom after making the move to change his name following his US citizenship.

Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter is legally changing his name to Enes Kanter Freedom, The Athletic & Stadium learned. Kanter will be his middle name, Freedom is his new last name. He becomes a U.S. citizen on Monday.

It's definitely a move that would make Metta Sandiford-Artest, the player formerly known as Metta World Peace and Ron Artest, proud.

Kanter has been a strong advocate against alleged injustices going on in his native Turkey, and most recently being vocal in criticizing human rights violations allegations against China.

The Celtics big man has been making headlines of late as he's called out LeBron James for failing to stand up in the same manner he has.

Safe to say there'll be a bunch of Celtics “Freedom” jerseys being rocked in TD Garden soon enough.
