Jaylen Brown was in no way proud of his individual performance in a 116-86 loss by the Boston Celtics to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, looking to atone his poor outing during tonight's Game 4 at Quicken Loans Arena.

“Could use it as fuel, I use it as fuel,” said Brown of channeling this loss and harnessing it into better play. “I thought it was embarrassing, the way I played, the way I performed. Not aggressive as I was in the first half…”

“The game is 90 percent mental, so everything that we do affects out mindset. We can't look at the last game and get down on ourselves or think we're out of the series because we lost one game.

Brown shot only 3-of-8 from the floor, as the Boston Celtics were kept under 40 percent shooting from the field.

The Celtics lacked the ball movement and most-importantly the shot-making to go along with it, finding it tough to compete against a Cavs team that found its range and made 17-of-34 from the 3-point line — making it a tough challenge to measure up to.

Brown was coming off three straight performances with 23 or more points, and his scoring will be needed if the Celtics are to steal one on the road and take a massive leg up in the series, putting the Cavs at the brink of playoff elimination.
