After leading the Boston Celtics to a massive 139-107 route of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jayson Tatum continued his MVP ways off-the-court for a worthy cause.

The third year star donated his game-worn jersey and sneakers to help raise money for those affected by the ongoing bushfires in Australia.

Props to Jayson Tatum. No matter how big or small, any act to help goes a long way. The Celtics talent clearly trying to do his part.

The wildfires in Australia have caused catastrophic environmental damage across the region and even beyond with its effects on global warming. Likewise, millions of animals have died as a result of the widespread fires. Moreover, this has also forced hundreds of thousands of residents to evacuate their homes and seek refuge.

Nine NBA Aussie players – Ben Simmons, Joe Ingles, Patty Mills, Aron Baynes, Jonah Bolden, Ryan Broekhoff, Matthew Dellavedova, Dante Exum, and Thon Maker – in partnership with the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) came together and donated $750,000 for relief and recovery efforts.

The bushfires have torched Australia since last year and is still ongoing to this day. While rainfall has already reportedly hit the region, it still doesn't signify that the fires will stop; though it has in some way helped slow it down.

Nevertheless, one cannot ignore the potential impact this could have on the entire planet as this could all the more worsen climate change.

Obviously, any kind of help would be appreciated and this simple one from the Celtics wing could help raise awareness to the global crisis. Likewise, this could prompt other NBA athletes to do their own respective acts to contribute to relief and rehabilitation efforts.
