The Boston Celtics were forced to play from behind after giving up a 34-18 quarter to the Cleveland Cavaliers, having to grind the rest of the game to catch up to the deficit. To make matters worse, it wasn't only the shot selection hurting the Celtics, but also their inability to keep their best defenders on the floor.

Marcus Morris, who has taken into the task of defending LeBron James, was mired in foul trouble throughout the game.

“[Foul trouble was] tough, man. I don't really want to speak on that and get a fine,” Morris, via ESPN's Chris Forsberg, said. “At the end of the day, I work hard, work my a– off to defend this position. The ticky-tack fouls — it is what it is.”

Morris, standing at a lengthy 6-foot-9, is nimble enough to handle the 6-foot-8, 250-pound charging James, but wasn't on the court enough to stop his 16 attempts at the rim.

“It's tough,” said Morris. “You're already playing against the best player in the league, and you can be a little bit physical. It's tough to guard him. You can't do anything, and it's fouls, fouls. We almost had to give up baskets.”

James erupted for a game-high 44 points, his sixth 40-point game of the postseason. The Celtics will have to find an answer for these foul troubles and fast, hopefully doing so within the confines of their home arena at the TD Garden for Game 5.
