Earlier this week, a report came out indicating as many as seven teams have shown interest in Boston Celtics point guard Terry Rozier. Another report suggested Rozier is unhappy with his situation in Boston. On Thursday, the Youngstown, Ohio native spoke to reporters to set the record straight.

Rozier, now 24 years of age, has become a fan-favorite in Boston. His hard-working style of play is contagious, and his teammates respect him for it. The former Louisville Cardinal dismissed the notion that he is unhappy in Boston.

“That’s how it should be,” Rozier said with a smile, referring to the reported interest he is drawing from teams around the league. “It should be more.”

“I’m just blessed to be putting on this uniform, represent this organization every day,” Rozier added. “So I have no complaints.”

“Scary Terry,” as Rozier has come to be known, is indeed approaching restricted free agent status. However, by listening to his words, it sounds like he's happy right where he's at.

Rozier has become an important piece of Boston's rotation. He has made 10 appearances with the Celtics off the bench this season, racking up averages of 7.5 points on 35.5 percent shooting from the field (39.4 percent from beyond the arc), 4.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and just under one steal (0.8) in 22.7 minutes per outing.

Rozier and the Celtics will be back in action on Thursday night, when they'll travel to Phoenix for a matchup against the Suns. Tip-off inside Talking Stick Resort Arena is set for 9:00 p.m. ET. Following Thursday's game, the Celtics (6-4 and second in the Atlantic Division) will wrap up their season-high five-game road trip with games in Utah and Portland.
