Boston Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck is ready to move on from the team's disappointing performance in February. He expects the team to look and play better in the final six weeks of the regular season.

“Thank God it’s March. We’re undefeated in March., Grousbeck said, per Nicole Yang of Boston.com.

The Celtics went 4-6 in February, highlighted by losses against the Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers, games which they led by at least 20 points. They have also lost four straight games following the All-Star break before ending the slump against the Washington Wizards last night.

Still, Wyc Grousbeck believes in what Boston is capable of doing. He believes that the Celtics have what it takes to become champions, so their record in the regular season doesn't matter to him, as long as they play like contenders in the playoffs.

“We’re not contending for the regular-season title in the East. We are contending to get out of the East. And I think the players that we — and I’m not being defensive, just being factual — I think the players that we have on the court have the capability of getting to the Finals.’’

When playing at an elite level, the Celtics have proven that they can hang with the best teams in the East. They have a winning record against the four teams that have a better record than them in the conference standings, going 7-5 against the Milwaukee Bucks, Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers, and Philadelphia 76ers.

But Boston hasn't been able to maintain that level of play throughout the season, as shown by their losses to teams like the Lakers, who are out of the playoffs at the moment. Grousbeck also believes that if the team can't figure it out in time, an early exit in the playoffs is possible.

“We also have the capability of losing in the first round. We have a very, very good set of opponents in the East, all of whom have beaten us in the last month. That’s that.’’

In the end, it will be up to the the Beantown players to figure things out. The outcome of the season will rely heavily on how well they play. Talent-wise, they are well-equipped, but they have to be mentally ready if they want to achieve their ultimate goal: to win the franchise's 19th title.
