There has been a new wrinkle to arise in the blockbuster Kyrie Irving-Isaiah Thomas trade between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers as there are concerns centered around Thomas' health.

This has created a window for the Cavaliers to potentially seek more assets from the Celtics to complete the trade prior to the Aug. 30 deadline. In light of that, there are now reports from Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe that Boston may stand put on not including any additional pieces to the deal.

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise given that the two sides had already agreed upon to a deal that was viewed as feasible on both sides. It may just be the Cavaliers looking to sweeten the return for the four-time All-Star point guard.

At the same time, Cleveland must tread a little lightly as things could quickly head south if Boston feels that the original is no longer a feasible deal. The Celtics had already agreed to move Thomas, veteran forward Jae Crowder, big man Ante Zizic, and the Brooklyn Nets 2018 first-round pick.

This is still quite a sensitive situation that has a few fluid pieces, but things could quite easily work out if the Cavaliers stay the course of taking the original trade.
