Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons will return from a 17-game absence tonight after missing a month with a bone bruise in his left knee, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.

The Grizzlies (18-12) have lost three games in a row, including four of their last five games. Memphis has struggled to score, failing to reach in each of their last four losses.

Parsons' return comes at a dire time when the team needs a scoring punch nearly as bad as a defibrillator. David Fizdale‘s offense has been stagnant at best and the return of Mike Conley Jr. has seen him mired in an 11-of-39 slump over three games.

Parsons has only played in six games since joining the team this summer and is averaging a dismal 7.7 points and three rebounds during his short stint with Memphis.

An early season joke found that Parsons has more Instagram posts than games played with Memphis. In fact, after signing a big four-year, $94.4 million deal that sees him earn $22.1 million this 2016-17 season, Parsons has earned about $175.4 thousand every minute he's been on the court this season (126 minutes to be exact).

The Grizzlies will need the Florida standout to knock down the open shot an stretch the defense with his three-point shooting. They will face a struggling Detroit Pistons team on Wednesday that is itself battling for its identity.
