The Los Angeles Chargers and San Francisco 49ers met at SoFi Stadium on Sunday night for another preseason game. This one, of course, has a ton of storylines, primarily regarding the 49ers quarterback battle between Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance.

Well, Chargers rookie corner Asante Samuel Jr. certainly helped Kyle Shanahan a little bit after he picked off Garoppolo early in the game on an impressive play.

A nice play by the former Florida State Seminole who has drawn a ton of attention at Chargers camp early on. As far as the 49ers are concerned, the battle between both Garoppolo and Lance is an intriguing one, and both quarterbacks have played well early on in the preseason slate.

But Lance brings a whole other dynamic, and that is a story for a different day. Nonetheless, this Chargers defense is a dangerous one, especially with Brandon Staley being named the new head coach after leading the Rams' defense last season.

Lance is set to play after Garoppolo, and it will be interesting to see which quarterback they go with as the regular season nears. But the Samuel INT certainly has Chargers fans buzzing with excitement even more, and there is a lot to in LA.
