With the Chicago Bears Week 7 matchup being against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we'll be paying attention to how Justin Fields could take advantage of a weak Bucs secondary. It should be an interesting game, as this Bears-Buccaneers contest could come down to the wire.

The Bears' defense isn't the greatest, but they are capable of handling their business. They'll have to be at their best against the Buccaneers, as Tom Brady will aim to light up the scoreboard. Chicago must find a way to attack Brady throughout the game.

Tampa Bay has a stiff rush defense, but their pass coverage is susceptible. For that reason, Chicago should highly consider airing it out throughout this game. It'll be a tough go for Khalil Herbert, but he could take the Bucs by surprise. Additionally, it seems Darnell Mooney is becoming the favorite pass option, while Justin Fields could be putting everything together soon. With that said, here are four bold Bears Week 7 predictions versus the Buccaneers.

Bears Week 7 Predictions

4. Bears defense sacks Tom Brady 5+ times

The only thing going for Chicago is that Tom Brady isn't a mobile quarterback. For that reason, the Bears must get creative and find a way to penetrate the Bucs stifling offensive line. It's a tough task, but it's not outside of this realm.

Look for Khalil Mack to be the difference-maker. He's a machine on the defensive line and will find his way to the backfield often. If the Bears can get their star EDGE rusher going, they'll have a chance to slow down Tampa Bay's offense.

3. Khalil Herbert repeats with another big performance

This might be nearly impossible, but there are other ways for Khalil Herbert to get involved. He looked fantastic in his season debut and could repeat that performance. However, Chicago might have to get him going in the passing game for that to happen.

Whether it's designed screens, or dump-off throws, the Bears must find ways to get short yardage gains. It's nearly impossible to run the ball on the Buccaneers, so the coaching staff must get creative to get their rookie running back going.

2. Darnell Mooney torches the Bucs for 150+ yards and 2 touchdowns

Allen Robinson is the star receiver on the team, but he's been struggling throughout the season so far. On the other hand, prospect receiver Darnell Mooney has looked great with his opportunities. It seems as though he has the best chemistry built with Justin Fields, which bodes well for the franchise's future success. Due to the Buccaneers' poor pass coverage, we could see Mooney have a huge performance.

1. Justin Fields finally makes his rookie breakthrough

It's been rocky, but he's shown improvement. This makes the matchup against Tampa Bay very intriguing for Justin Fields. He's not likely to run the ball all over the Buccaneers, but he has the potential to light up the field with his arm.

This would be the perfect moment for Fields to finally have a breakthrough game. The Buccaneers are a Super Bowl contender, and a strong performance against them would put Fields on the map. If Justin Fields can manage a solid outing, everyone will now understand why he was a first-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.
