The Kansas City Chiefs won't be completely devoid of their high-end running talent on Sunday. Though Week 1 starter Damien Williams is out, LeSean McCoy isn't. According to James Palmer of NFL Network, McCoy is “good to go” against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

McCoy suffered an ankle injury in Week 2. He played through it in Week 3, but aggravated it, leading to a questionable status leading up to Sunday's game. Despite doing so, the back was a full-go for Friday's practice after practicing in a limited fashion on Wednesday and Thursday.

On Sunday, Kansas City will employ a three-headed rushing attack to deal with a stout Lions defense. McCoy is expected to lead the group, followed by Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson. In Week 3, the trio combined for 124 rushing yards and a score (by McCoy) on 20 combined carries. In the passing game, McCoy and Williams added a total of eight receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown.

Since his release from the Buffalo Bills on cut-down day, McCoy is turning back the clock. For the season, he has 29 attempts for 158 yards and a score. In addition, he's caught all seven of his targets for 38 yards and a touchdown.

Though McCoy is healthy, Kansas City is without three offensive starters for Sunday. Williams is out with a knee, left tackle Eric Fisher is out with core muscle surgery, and wide receiver Tyreek Hill is out with a shoulder. The Chiefs face a tough task on Sunday, as the Lions are sitting pretty at 2-0-1 and will host the matchup.
