Nobody ever wants to see a fellow competitor go down, and Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is out here making sure the world knows he’s thinking and praying for Dallas Cowboys gunslinger Dak Prescott.

Taking to Twitter immediately following Prescott going down in the third quarter of the Cowboys game against the New York Giants, Mahomes had a simple but direct message.

Mahomes wasn’t the only one out on Twitter sending Prescott well wishes. Other players sent out prayers to Dak Prescott, including fellow quarterback Robert Griffin III, Falcons running back Todd Gurley, Patrick Peterson, and Devin McCourty.

The most direct message was sent by former teammate Dez Bryant, who let his feelings be known in an NSFW tweet that shows how much he loves and respects his former quarterback.

No matter who your team is and what your opinion of the Cowboys are, nobody ever wants to see a player as important to his team as Prescott is to the Cowboys to go down with an injury.

There is no update yet on his condition and how long he may be out for, but based on the way he was taken off the field it doesn’t look good.

The latest on the situation is it is a right ankle injury and he is being transported to a local hospital. Hopefully for the Cowboys the injury isn’t as serious as it looked and he will be back on the field sooner rather than later. Updates will be coming as they are made available.
