There's little doubt that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has one of the best arms in the NFL. Count Peter Schrager, though, among the group that thinks Mahomes is unmatched atop the throwing-power throne.

Schrager gave his rankings of the top quarterbacks by arm strength during a recent segment on the NFL Network show Good Morning Football (click here to watch). He listed Mahomes ahead of Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers, Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills, Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions, and Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals.

“The best is yet to come with him,” Schrager said of Mahomes. “His arm is just a thing of beauty and it's also a thing of sheer brute force.”

Mahomes, himself has said before that he believes his right arm is the game's strongest, though he has good competition from Allen. He said as much during an early 2018 interview on the Stick to Football Podcast featuring Matt Miller and Connor Rogers of Bleacher Report.

“I've seen these things with Josh but I'm going to have to say I believe I have the stronger arm,” Mahomes said. “I've never seen anyone throw harder than me with the football, so until I see it in person, I believe I have the stronger arm.”

The surprise on Schrager's list might be Murray, who is entering his first year in the league. While known to have a good arm, Murray hasn't really been viewed in that tier. He'll have the chance to prove doubters wrong, though, soon enough.
