Longtime Baltimore Ravens pass rusher Terrell Suggs had previously spent his entire NFL career as a member of the AFC North franchise. However, upon becoming an unrestricted free agent this past offseason, Suggs elected to sign with the Arizona Cardinals en route to ultimately suiting up for his second professional franchise.

Now, Suggs is reportedly on his way to his third team and second team this season after the Cardinals decided to waive the pass rusher last Friday. Claimed by the surging Kansas City Chiefs, Suggs is now expected to report to Kansas City to join the AFC West champions, according to a Monday evening report from Mike Florio of NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.

Previous reports indicated Suggs would more than likely retire if the Ravens didn't claim him following his release from the Cardinals. With several other teams seemingly in the mix as well, it was eventually the Chiefs that were awarded Suggs via the league's waiver wire.

Winning remains important to the longtime Ravens standout. The Chiefs have turned things around in a hurry en route to winning yet another division title a few weeks back. More than likely slated to serve the No. 3 or No. 4 seed in the AFC playoff picture, the Chiefs have now added a veteran leader to aid the team's defensive attack.

It is no secret that the Chiefs offense is one of the best units in the entire league. However, the same can't be said about the Kansas City defense, which could use all the help it can get at this point in the season.
