Tyreek Hill came to the rescue for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The speedy wideout connected with Patrick Mahomes for a huge gain on a crucial fourth down as the Chiefs eventually came from behind to beat the Baltimore Ravens, 27-24, in overtime.

After the game, Hill admitted he was able to make that clutch play despite experiencing a lot of discomfort from a foot injury which he suffered.

“My foot’s bad …Our people did a tremendous job wrapping my foot,” Hill told Peter King of Football Morning in America. “I was still feeling my heel, but at the same time, I knew that man, if you want the W, if you want to be a great receiver, this is your moment to make plays.”

Apart from that foot injury, Hill also seemed to suffer another injury to his wrist earlier in the game. But those injuries hardly seemed to slow Hill down as he had another terrific day with eight catches for 139 yards.

Hill is having a career year in his third season in the league. He’s already set new career highs for receiving yards (1,258) and touchdowns (11) with three games to spare, and he’s also two catches shy of setting a new receiving best.

However, Hill doesn’t have too much time to completely heal up for Thursday’s big clash against the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night. If he does play, he’ll likely have to continue to deal with pain from that pesky foot injury.

While he’s shown he can fight through the pain, the Chiefs will once again need him at his best to keep their division rivals at bay.
