Over the past years when the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs squared off, JuJu Smith-Schuster often watched in sheer awe from the sidelines as Patrick Mahomes showed off his all-around prowess as a passer. Now, as he has a front-row seat to watch Mahomes work his magic on the field, he is still in disbelief at the quarterback’s world-class skill set.

The Chiefs held their three-day mandatory minicamp this past week, which featured the likes of Mahomes and Smith-Schuster. As was expected, Mahomes was the main attraction, completing outside-the-pocket throws to several of the team's new wideouts.

Mahomes also completed a no-look pass on Tuesday that earned high acclaim from Smith-Schuster.

“He did the no-look pass today, and I was just like, ‘Wow,'” Smith-Schuster said during Chiefs' minicamp. “He even got me, and I was just on the sideline.”

During his run in Pittsburgh, Smith-Schuster occasionally watched as now-former quarterback Ben Roethlisberger launched multiple stout passes while withstanding pressure from opposing defensive linemen. Now in Kansas City, Smith-Schuster will feature under a quarterback who has enjoyed keen success in doing just that as well, although the versatile wideout may have to get accustomed to being ready at any moment for one of Mahomes’ trademark no-look passes.

Next up for Mahomes and company will be the start of training camp next month, where the one-time NFL MVP Award winner is slated to have another opportunity to build early chemistry with Smith-Schuster.
