The Los Angeles Clippers have secured a meeting with Kevin Durant on Friday to talk about him possibly joining the team, making it a super team.

According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, Clippers management plans to take Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan into the meeting to sell what they believe will convince Durant to come to Los Angeles.

The pitch is to sell Durant on the idea of a “Big Four.” Not only would that lineup cause match up problems for any and every team in the league, but it’s a roster almost hard to imagine because of the complications of making salaries work under the cap.

The Clippers don’t have enough money to pay Kevin Durant a max deal, and would likely have to renounce most of the team to create enough room for him. If they can round out the roster with enough cheap talent, they may be able to meet NBA level standards.

Doc Rivers believes they can find a way to sign Durant and keep all of their max level star players, adding the four time scoring champs’ prowess to create a potent punch in the western conference.

While anything is possible, it’s highly unlikely that Durant will be swayed by the Clippers pitch, but it is one of a kind, and will take a great deal of convincing to get him to turn his attention away from what the Thunder are already offering, which is money and a contending team with no complications.
