Over this past offseason, the Los Angeles Clippers experienced major shakeup of their roster that has changed the outlook of the franchise.

It was something that All-Star forward Blake Griffin told ESPN's Sam Alipour that he believes the changes were likely a needed move to make.

“You never want to blow up something like that – you have All-Stars in CP and (DeAndre Jordan), great pieces like J.J. Redick, Jamal Crawford. But at the same time, we haven't had success, so a shake-up doesn't hurt.”

With their big three of Griffin, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Jordan leading the way, it resulted in six straight playoff appearances in as many seasons while earning the team's first two Pacific division titles and winning 50-plus games in each of the last four years.

However, Los Angeles struggled to make it past the second round of the playoffs in each of their appearances that included letting a 3-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets slip away back in 2015. There have also been issues with injuries along the way that have only contributed to their mishaps in the postseason.

The Clippers had clearly plateaued and a shake-up appeared to be needed for everyone involved to finally breakthrough.
