The L.A. Clippers have grown preoccupied with Avery Bradley's injury, one that was diagnosed as an “athletic pubalgia,” defined as a strain or tear of any soft tissue in the lower abdomen or groin area.

“We are concerned,” head coach Doc Rivers said, according to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times. “We've got to go through the right stuff and make sure he's in a good place with his health. I think we're going to send him to a doctor and let him check and see.”

Rivers said the Clippers would really miss Bradley's defensive presence against the Golden State Warriors and they did, taking a 134-127 loss in a showdown of fireworks, as the defending champions took a 3-1 lead in the regular season series.

“Yeah, that's a big blow,” Rivers said about not having Bradley. “Having Avery on Steph and Austin [Rivers] on Klay, you couldn't ask for, from our standpoint, that's a pretty good matchup for us. But now you take Avery out of the mix, that's a lot of pressure on us. There's no doubt about that.”

The Warriors backcourt torched the Clippers for a combined 63 points in an efficient 22-of-33 from the floor and 10-of-16 from deep, as Golden State shot an impressive 62.7 percent for the game.

Bradley was yielded out of a package for former star forward Blake Griffin, along with Tobias Harris. While he has struggled to replicate his 2016-17 form, Bradley remains an elite defender with plenty of upside on the offensive end — one which the Clippers could fail to see on the court before his contract expires this summer.
