LOS ANGELES – The LA Clippers are still awaiting the return of forward/center Montrezl Harrell to Orlando as they gear up for their second seeding game of the bubble. As Doc Rivers said, they'll continue to wait as long as they need to for him to get right mentally.

On Friday, July 30th, Harrell took to social media to express his emotional struggles amid the passing of his grandmother.

“I've talked to him, but I don't know what's too soon or too late,” Rivers said of Harrell's return before the Clippers took on the Pelicans.

“When he’s ready, he’ll come back. You can’t play if you're not right mentally because of the emotional part of it. All I told him is I love him and take your time and we’ll be ready with open arms when you come.”

Harrell departed from the Orlando bubble on July 17th to deal with a family matter. He posted a photo captioned ‘See you soon Orlando,' last week before things took a turn for the worst. There's no indication of his return anytime in the near future, and the Clippers will want Harrell to be right mentally before he returns.

The Clippers dropped their opening night matchup to the Los Angeles Lakers, 103-101 on Thursday night. Both Harrell and Lou Williams didn't play in that game.
