Los Angeles Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard and guard Patrick Beverly will both be out against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. Leonard is dealing with left knee soreness and Beverly is still out with a groin injury.

Leonard will be missing his 12th game of the season for the Clippers as he typically doesn't play on back to back games. In Saturday's disappointing loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves, he finished off with 29 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assist.

Nonetheless, Leonard has played phenomenal this season in his first year with the Clippers, averaging an astonishing 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in 32 minutes.  Leonard was also recently named as a starter for the NBA All-Star team that'll take place next week in Chicago, Illinois.

On the other hand, Beverly will be missing his second consecutive game as he's dealing with a groin injury. Beverly suffered a groin injury in the Clippers' Wednesday 129-11 win against the Miami Heat. For the season, Beverly is averaging 8.4 points, 5.8 boards, and 4.0 assists.

Nonetheless, Beverly is expected to return before the All-Star Weekend located in his hometown Chicago. The 31-year-old will be participating in the All-Star Skills Challenge.

Landry Shamet is expected to start for the Clippers against the Cavaliers because of Beverly's absence. Shamet started and played 29 minutes in Saturday's loss against the Timberwolves.

The Clippers are currently the second seed in the Western Conference with a record of 36-16. They'll be seeking to snap their losing streak against the Cavaliers on Sunday night. Veteran forward Marcus Morris could possibly make his Clipper debut in Sunday's game. Tip-off inside the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
