Los Angeles Clippers star small forward Kawhi Leonard is getting his college jersey retired on Saturday night at San Diego State.

Leonard talked about it with Clippers reporters after Saturday afternoon's win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Leonard played 70 games at San Diego State, leading the Aztecs to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and a overall record of 59-12.

In 2011, the Aztecs made their first Sweet 16 appearance in school history behind two strong games from Leonard in the NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, they fell to eventual champions UConn in the third game.

Leonard averaged a double-double in 70 collegiate games, putting up 14.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 44.9 percent from the field, 25.0 percent from beyond the arc and 74.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Kawhi is now a two-time Finals MVP and he's looking to lead the Clippers to their first-ever championship this season with the help of his pal and fellow California native, Paul George.

The Clippers, after defeating the Timberwolves at home, improved to 34-15 on the season. They are in third place in the Western Conference standings.

George had his college jersey retired at Fresno State earlier this season. Both PG and Leonard were stars in college, just like they are in the NBA. The only thing left for George to accomplish in his NBA career is winning a title. Kawhi is here to help him achieve it with the Clippers.
