The L.A. Clippers will have Austin Rivers back in the lineup against the San Antonio Spurs after a two-game absence. However, leading scorer Lou Williams will miss out due to a left foot sprain. Meanwhile, forwards Danilo Gallinari and Wes Johnson are also out, per Clutch Points’ Tomer Azarly:

#Clippers announce Austin Rivers is available to play tonight vs. #Spurs. Danilo Gallinari remains out and Lou Williams will miss the game with a right foot sprain. Wes Johnson also out with left foot soreness.

Rivers had missed the Clippers’ last two games due to a concussion he suffered against the Orlando Magic on Dec. 13. Prior to exiting that game early, Rivers had averaged 21 points on 49 percent shooting with 4.8 assists in his past four games.

Rivers will now have to step in and be the primary offensive option for the Clippers with the absence of Williams. Williams has been outstanding in taking on a larger role offensively for the shorthanded Clippers and is averaging 22.9 points and 7.0 assists in December.

Meanwhile, the Clippers’ already decimated frontcourt rotation that'll miss Gallinari for a fourth-straight game due to an on-going glute issue will suffer an even bigger blow with the absence of Johnson. Johnson had started the previous 19 games, averaging 7.6 points and 3.4 rebounds in 27.3 minutes during that span.

Montrezl Harrell or Sam Dekker will likely fill in for Johnson in the starting lineup alongside Jamil Wilson and DeAndre Jordan.
