New Balance has put up a new billboard in downtown Toronto that features Los Angeles Clippers All-Star Kawhi Leonard as he makes his triumphant return to face the Raptors on Wednesday night.

Leonard led the Raptors to their first championship in franchise history last season, leaving a trail of lasting memories in his wake. His series-clinching shot over the outstretched arm of Sixers big man Joel Embiid in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals will go down as one of the more memorable moments in NBA history.

Leonard signed with the Clippers this offseason, leaving the Raptors after just one year of service. As a sign of respect to his former team and the city of Toronto, New Balance wrote a thankful message on the caption of their new billboard, which can be seen at the corner of Yonge and Dundas:

With Leonard making his return to Scotiabank Arena, ticket holders have been asked to be in their seats early for a pregame presentation ceremony to Leonard:

“I'll be thinking about just playing against the team and wanting to win the game, for the most part,” Leonard said of Wednesday's matchup against the Raptors, via ESPN. “Just really getting my ring that night. … We're there for one reason: to play the Raptors and try to win the game.”

The Clippers are playing well with Leonard aboard. In fact, the team is currently 18-7, having won four of their last five games. Let's see if they can keep their momentum rolling.
