Ivica Zubac made headlines on Thursday. He had arguably his best game in a Los Angeles Clippers uniform. The 23-year-old a 21-point, 15-rebound double-double while going a pristine 10-for-10 shooting on the evening — a feat that prompted quite an exchange between himself and teammate Patrick Beverley.

The two Clippers players engaged in a hilarious back-and-forth on the mean streets of Twitter, which all started with a rather contentious congratulatory message from Beverley:

Zubac was still feeling it, and he wasn't going to let his feisty teammate spoil his career night:

In the end, Beverley conceded. The veteran Clippers guard probably thought it would only be right to let his teammate have his moment, and leave the smack talking for another day:

What is clear is that Zubac totally balled out on Thursday, helping the Clippers to a 126-111 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. The 7-foot center also achieved this feat in just 24 minutes of action, which further proves his efficiency on the evening.

This was an important win for the Clippers, who are trying to hold off the Denver Nuggets in the West. Currently, the second-seeded Clippers are just a game and a hald ahead fo the Nuggets, who themselves lost on Thursday to the Portland Trail Blazers. Not that home court advantage matters that much now that everyone is isolated inside the Disney World bubble, but finishing second in a ruthless Western Conference still holds a ton of value at this point.

The Clippers will take the floor again on Saturday to face the Portland Trail Blazers.
