Good news, Los Angeles Clippers fans! Patrick Beverley will be back in action against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night after missing 12 games. This is a good sight for the Clippers, who need to build more on-court chemistry as much as possible before the playoffs kick in.

Beverley was averaging 8.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists after suffering a sore knee injury.

The Clippers are definitely better than they were last year, especially on offense. The key for them moving forward is to avoid losing vital players on the rotation to injury. They’ve learned head coach Ty Lue’s system as fast as possible and need to get as many reps in as they can. They have the third-best offense in the league, as of writing, right behind the Utah Jazz and Brooklyn Nets—which isn't bad company at all.

Adding Beverley back to the rotation is huge for the Clippers as they bring in more defensive teeth. It will be interesting to watch how minutes will be distributed between Beverley and the Clippers' new acquisition in Rajon Rondo

Prior to tip-off, the Clippers sit at third place in the Western Conference standings—five games behind the Utah Jazz. The Jazz and the second-seeded Phoenix Suns—who have won six straight games—are playing against each other on Wednesday.

The Clippers will have their hands full against the Blazers with Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum coming to town, making Beverley's return much more important.
