Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were brought to the Los Angeles Clippers in hopes of winning a title, but the way they have played so far raises doubts if they have what it takes to bring the team to the promised land.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, Leonard and George have not been as clutch as Clippers fans would have hope. In fact, their clutch genes are in question since they have only combined for 3-of-21 on potential game-tying or game-winning shots in the fourth quarter or overtime since they both joined LA in 2019.

Leonard has been one of the worst clutch players in the said span, as he only trails Andrew Wiggins in terms of low success rate.

Kawhi Leonard will always be remembered for his crazy winner in Game 7 of the 2019 Eastern Conference semifinals that eventually paved the way for the Toronto Raptors to win the NBA title. However, it is certainly troubling he hasn't been the same as he has failed to live up to the expectations on him.

The same goes for Paul George, who is supposed to be one of the better players in the NBA. He has shown during his time with the Indiana Pacers that he can take over and lead a team, but that hasn't been seen since he joined the Clippers.

LA will need the two stars to step up and take over games if they want to win a championship this 2021. The Clippers are trailing the Dallas Mavericks 3-2 in their playoff series, and with the way Luka Doncic has been dominating, the Clips' only hope is for Kawhi and PG13 to show they are the true superstars the franchise gambled their future for.
