When Serge Ibaka joined the LA Clippers in free agency back in 2019, continuing his hilarious ‘How Hungry Are You?' show was surely in his plans. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic made it incredibly difficult to film over the last year and a half. Until now.

Over the last few weeks, Serge Ibaka has dropped a couple of sneak peek videos on Twitter with some of his upcoming guests. So far, it appears that Clippers star Paul George, Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, and Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson have all made appearances recently.

It's unclear when Ibaka and his team plan to release the videos, but if it's anything like what we've seen in the past with guests like Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Lowry, they'll be must-watch episodes.

While the Clippers reached the franchise's first Western Conference Finals last season, Ibaka wasn't able to participate much in the playoff run due to injury. Ibaka missed 30 games in the regular season from March until May due to a pinched nerve in his back that was causing him a lot of pain and discomfort.

“I’ve been playing with my back pain since the beginning of the season. I was playing with my back pain. I didn’t want to find a reason because I don’t like to find reasons so nobody know, only the team they know about it since the beginning of the season I was playing with my back and taking pills, all kind of stuff. Then after the last game, after the second game coming from the All-Star break, the second game against … New Orleans, that’s when I really kind of felt more than usual and I had to shut down.”

Ibaka returned to take part in the final two games of the regular season and the first two games of the postseason. He was then, again, shut down due to a flare up in his back. Just two weeks later, Ibaka underwent season-ending surgery.

“There is nothing I would love more than being on the court helping my brothers and trying to win a championship for Clipper Nation,” Ibaka said in an Instagram post following his season-ending back surgery in June. “It's been a very tough season, I worked very hard to be back in time for the Playoffs but sometimes injuries get in the way and health has to be a priority. I appreciate all the love and support from everyone and now I have my mindset on supporting my team and getting healthy and ready for next season.”

Fortunately, Ibaka is on course to make a full recovery and expects to be available to start the 2021-22 regular season. Ibaka played just 41 games this season, averaging 11.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game on 51 percent shooting from the field.
