For years, the Los Angeles Clippers have played second-fiddle to their big brothers in the Los Angeles Lakers. Certainly, that is the reality Shaquille O'Neal grew up in. During Shaq's eight-year stint in LA, the Clippers won just 202 out of 624 games, making the postseason just once during that span. However, since 2012, the Clippers have gone 36-9 against the Lakers in all meetings, including their 133-115 win on Tuesday night. Even with the Lakers' 2020 championship, the Clippers have been their biggest kryptonite for over over a decade now.

And this changing of the guard, so to speak, has prompted the most vociferous Clippers fans to talk their talk. That was what Darrell Bailey, or more affectionately known as Clipper Darrell, did against Shaq on Tuesday night following yet another Clippers triumph over the Lakers.

Bailey, a Clippers season-ticket holder since the 2000-2001 season, talked smack towards one of the greatest Lakers of all time in Shaquille O'Neal during TNT's Tuesday night presentation of the NBA. And of course, fans who can relate with Clipper Darrell's views found themselves entertained by the two's war of words on national television.

One should give Clipper Darrell credit. Being a Clippers fan is not easy. And to be one since 2000? That takes dedication. Even then, during the Clippers' supposed golden era, they have made the conference finals just once. Darrell Bailey has experienced disappointment after disappointment, as he has seen his team blow multiple 3-1 leads and fall prey to injury woes at the most inopportune time.

But at least for one night, he got to look a Lakers legend in Shaquille O'Neal right in the eye and boast about his team, even if it's just over a regular season victory.
