Restricted free agent Montrezl Harrell has agreed to a two-year contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Harrell is a nice pickup for the Clippers as he is still young and has shown flashes of how good of basketball player he can be at times. No teams signed Harrell to an offer sheet, but the Clippers decided to sign him to more than just the original offer.

Harrell spent the first two years of his career with the Houston Rockets before being traded last offseason to the Los Angeles Clippers. Last year, he played 76 games with the Clippers averaging 11 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists. Per 36 minutes, his numbers were even more impressive averaging 23.3 points, 11.5 points, and 2.3 rebounds.

On defense, he is a hustle guy who can block a lot of shots and really make life tough on the opposing big men. He was the backup to DeAndre Jordan so he didn't get a ton of run but when he was on the court he really seemed to impress.

The Clippers did trade this offseason for Marcin Gortat so he will probably be the starter when the season starts but Harrell will probably be able to get more than the 17 minutes per game last year that he averaged.

The Clippers next season are going to look different next season especially with Jordan gone but they have made some moves this offseason that should still keep them at least competitive in a very tough Western Conference.
