DeAndre Jordan could opt out of his deal with the L.A. Clippers this summer, making him an unrestricted free agent.

With the Clippers struggling after facing a season rampant with injuries to significant parts of the rotation, it seems possible that Jordan may be looking for a change in scenery, especially after Chris Paul left over the summer.

But there could be a problem with that. Jordan will command a hefty maximum salary if he decides to leave the Clippers, and there aren't a lot of teams with room to sign a player of his caliber. In fact, it appears that there may not be much of a market at all for Jordan, per Bobby Marks of ESPN.

Jordan is a very good player, an elite defender and roller to the rim, and a guy who can rebound with the best of them. But financially speaking, it may make more sense for him to stay put in Los Angeles for another year, given that he will make upwards of $24 million if he does not opt out of his contract.

And with the Clippers putting more and more names on there injured list seemingly every day, it could be natural for Jordan to become the focal point of that team going forward, even more than he is right now.

Or, he could just tell management that he wants to be traded and let the chips fall where they may. Many players have decided to leave money on the table for a better situation and chance to win.

There's no telling what will happen with this situation. But time is definitely running out.
