The “John Wick 3” trailer dropped Thursday, and it featured a familiar face to basketball fans: Clippers big man Boban Marjanovic:
As evidenced by the GIF shared by the team, Boban Marjanovic obviously plays a bad guy, where he's shown giving a flying kick to “John Wick 3” star Keanu Reeves.
The Serbian-born center — who stands over 7 feet tall — is making his feature film debut in the role, which will hit theaters nationwide on May 17, and hopefully expose Marjanovic to a whole new set of fans that he otherwise wouldn't have had.
Marjanovic said that playing the role wasn't difficult for him, because he likened it to a game of basketball, where he could “be himself.”
“It was fun, really fun to be yourself in that type of stuff. I know it’s acting, but to me, it’s like playing basketball.”
But this isn't the first time that Boban Marjanovic has won the internet.
Just a few days ago, Marjanovic made headlines when he posted a good-natured video of himself entering the arena for a Clippers game while riding a four-wheeler that was just a little too small for him:
Boban has been involved in plenty of other internet fun, including his show with teammate Tobias Harris. The good-natured player and internet sensation makes as much of a scene on the court as he does off the court, as well.
In his first year with the Clippers, he scored a season-high 18 points in a 122–120 win over the Denver Nuggets, on Feb. 27, 2018.
Boban Marjanovic also represents the Serbian national basketball team in international competitions when he isn't playing with the Clippers or kicking Keanu Reeves in the groin.
