Friday evening the L.A. Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers faced off in a hometown matchup. After a three-point shot over Lakers swingman Lance Stephenson that proved to be the Clippers' dagger, Lou Williams pulled out his air guitar in celebration.

The Clippers ended up topping the Lakers by a score of 118-107. Lou Williams was the leading scorer for the team. He dropped 36 points with seven rebounds and three assists while shooting 11-of-18 from the field. The only other Clippers in double-digits were Danilo Gallinari with 19 and Montrezl Harrell with 12.

The Lakers ended up having five players in double-digit scoring, but they weren't enough. Kyle Kuzma had 24 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. He also shot 9-of-21 from the field. Lonzo Ball had 19 points, five rebounds, and six assists. Brandon Ingram had 17 points, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 14 points, and Josh Hart contributed 12 points.

The Lakers missed 19 three-pointers on the evening and struggled to hold onto the ball, leading the game with 17 turnovers. The team very much missed their superstar forward LeBron James. He's out with a grade three groin strain and is day-to-day. It's unknown how soon he may return. Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball will have to lead the team in his absence.

The Clippers are now 21-14 on the season and sit in the fourth spot of the NBA's Western Conference standings. They will face off against the San Antonio Spurs next this upcoming Saturday at home.

The Lakers are now 20-17 on the season and sit in the fifth spot in the West. They will face off against the Sacramento Kings come Sunday at home.
