With Kevin Durant joining the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green with the Golden State Warriors, many fans and members of the media have dubbed them as a “Super Team.”

A similar label was given to the Miami Heat when LeBron James and Chris Bosh teamed up with Dwyane Wade in South Beach, but it seems like a different animal by the Bay right now. Golden State has, arguably, the three best outside shooters in the game today; that's ridiculous.

While the Dubs, without Durant, broke the NBA record for victories in a season with 73, the San Antonio Spurs only came a few wins short with 67 in 2015-16, tying them for the fourth-best record ever.

Despite having five world championships, three future Hall of Famers, and perennial All-Stars like Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge now leading the way, the Spurs have never been referred to as a “Super Team.”

Does that bother their Hall of Fame coach?

Not one bit. He's more worried about something else.

Via Marcus Thompson of Mercury News:

“Naaaah,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, an assistant coach for Team USA, said with a coy smile. “I just count the championships.”

We already know how much Pop loves to count his rings:
