Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard is underrated. Colts fans understand how talented he is, but Madden 23 gave him just a 90 overall. Granted, a 90 is not bad. But Leonard is arguably the best linebacker in the NFL. 49ers linebacker Fred Warner also shared his top 10 linebackers in the NFL right now. Warner ranked himself No. 1 and placed Darius Leonard at No. 5. His ranking drew criticism in the comments calling for Leonard to be higher.

Despite all of this, Leonard did not take it too seriously. In fact, all he could do was laugh.

Darius Leonard is fresh off of a solid 2021 campaign. The Colts star tallied 122 tackles, 4 interceptions, 8 forced fumbles, and 8 passes deflected. In just four NFL seasons, Leonard has recorded over 530 tackles, 15 sacks, 11 interceptions, 17 forced fumbles, and 30 passes deflected.

As for Fred Warner, it should be noted that he's been terrific for the 49ers as well. He posted 137 tackles last year and 1 forced fumble.

But Leonard's overall ability to impact a game is arguably unparalleled. He played a major role in helping the Indianapolis Colts last season. However, they ended up falling just short of the playoffs after a heartbreaking loss at the end of the season. Leonard will be crucial in helping Indianapolis reach the next level in 2022.

The Colts have a bright outlook with Leonard and superstar running back Jonathan Taylor leading the charge. Leonard will also have a chance to prove both Madden 23 and Fred Warner wrong in their linebacker rankings.

We should expect a monster season from Darius Leonard.
