The Indianapolis Colts' injury list keeps growing by the day.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Colts are placing tight end Eric Ebron on injured reserve because he needs to undergo procedures on both of his ankles.

Assuming that Ebron's season is, in fact, done, he ended 2019 with 31 catches for 375 yards and three touchdowns while battling through numerous ailments during the year.

Ebron joined Indianapolis last season and had a monster first year with the club, hauling in 66 receptions for 750 yards and 13 scores in the absence of fellow tight end Jack Doyle, who missed 10 games in 2018 due to various injuries. Ebron made the Pro Bowl as a result.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of North Carolina, was originally selected by the Detroit Lions with the 10th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He played in 13 games during his rookie campaign, finishing with 25 grabs for 248 yards while reaching the end zone once. Then, the following year, Ebron's role grew significantly, as he caught 47 passes for 537 yards and five touchdowns.

Ebron continued to improve in 2016, snaring 61 balls for 711 yards and a score. But in 2017, a litany of dropped passes led to Lions fans growing frustrated with the Newark, N.J. native, and while he posted decent numbers (53 catches for 574 yards and four touchdowns), it marked his final season in Detroit.

The Colts are 6-5 on the year, most recently falling to the Houston Texans in a pivotal AFC South matchup last Thursday. Indianapolis is one game behind Houston for first place in the division.
