Thursday night's brawl between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers has the NFL landscape buzzing. The incident — where Myles Garrett ripped off the helmet of Mason Rudolph, then struck him with it — has coaches from other teams talking, including Frank Reich of the Indianapolis Colts.

On Friday, Reich said on the matter, via Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan: “There’s no place for that.” The well-respected second-year head coach noted that he spoke with General Manager Chris Ballard about the fight. He will address what happened on Thursday with the team.

The fight on Thursday night is the talk of the town. Never in the modern era of football has the NFL seen a player use another player's helmet as a weapon against them. Although, reportedly, the law will not get involved, Garrett's actions on Rudolph could qualify as assault. Rudolph's action, including tugging at Garrett's helmet and kicking him at the groin, was not warranted either.

In the end, the NFL laid down the hammer less than a day after the fight broke out. Garrett has been suspended without pay indefinitely, at minimum, for the rest of the regular season and postseason. His teammate, Larry Ojungobi, who participated in the brawl, received a one-game fine. Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey, who retaliated against Garrett with kicks and punches, was suspended three games. Both teams received $250,000 fines. Rudolph was not suspended, but the NFL will take action.

In all, the Browns and Steelers hampered their success in 2019 by fighting. The Colts will not follow that path under Reich.
