The 2022 NFL Offseason is well underway, and the Indianapolis Colts are still looking at their options in free agency. They have already made multiple big offseason moves that will directly impact their upcoming season. However, the Colts aren't done just yet.

According to Colts owner Jim Irsay, GM Chris Ballard is interested in a big free agency player. That player could be former Carolina Panthers cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who recently visited the Colts.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport connected the dots in a pair of tweets Wednesday afternoon.

With this information, courtesy of Rapoport, there's a good chance that there is a strong, mutual interest between Indianapolis and Gilmore.

The Colts haven't made any huge moves in the cornerback position so far this offseason. However, they did sign Brandon Facyson to a one-year, $3.84 million deal in March. Right now, he is expected to be the Colts' starting left cornerback for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Kenny Moore is slated as Indianapolis' right corner. If Gilmore finalizes a deal with the organization, expect him to take one of these starting positions.

Gilmore is 31 years old and entering his 11th season in the league. He is a Super Bowl champion, 2019 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, two-time First-team all Pro, and a five-time Pro-Bowler.

In his decade in the league, the veteran cornerback has spent valuable time with three different organizations. His experience and skill will greatly benefit the Colts if they strike a deal this offseason.
