There's some obvious news surrounding the Indianapolis Colts at the moment. Quarterback Andrew Luck shocked the sports world by announcing his retirement on Saturday. However, life goes on, and the Colts, including Deon Cain, still need to play football.

They did just that on Saturday, playing their third preseason game of the year – this time against the Chicago Bears.

Although they lost (and fell to 0-3), they did manage some highlights. The biggest might have come from wide receiver Deon Cain.

Deon Cain was selected in the sixth-round of the 2018 NFL Draft. However, he didn't play last season. Now he's taking advantage of the chance he's getting this preseason.

Not only did Cain make the grab, but he looked great after as well. Cain immediately broke a tackle and crossed up the next defender. Then he sprinted to the end zone for an impressive 46-yard touchdown.

That wasn't the only play Cain made. The receiver ended the day with three receptions (on four targets) for 74 yards and that touchdown.

Cain only had two receptions for 15 yards in the first week of the preseason. However, he bounced back with a massive game in week two of the preseason, reeling in seven receptions for 80 yards.

Now he's had back-to-back strong weeks and you'd have to imagine he's turning heads at this point.

In fact, Cain could find himself with a very solid role if he continues to play like this. Not only his he making the safe plays, he's making the boom plays like this. Cain's proving he can be a reliable receiver and a game changer at the same time.

The Indianapolis Colts had a big day on Saturday. Andrew Luck's retirement is sure to dominate the headlines for quite some time. The season doesn't stop though and Deon Cain's grinding could earn him a big spot on this team.
