The Dallas Cowboys have tumbled to yet another disappointing loss after falling 28-14 on Monday night against the Tennessee Titans that has pushed them to drop five out of their first eight games played.

Things have hit another possible major snag with star linebacker Sean Lee once again dealing with a hamstring injury that will keep him out of the lineup over the next few games, according to David Helman of DallasCowboys.com.

Lee has had his struggles with a nagging hamstring injury that has kept him out of action for three games this season, which could once again be another lengthy absence from the field. He has played in five games where he has notched 27 total tackles with a fumble recovery, a half sack, and a pass deflection. It has impacted his play on the field as he hasn't been able to perform at the level that has become expected of him as the anchor of the defense that has seen him tally more than 100 tackles in each of the last three years.

However, injuries have become a bigger factor as his career has rolled along as he has failed to play in all 16 regular season games once in his first nine seasons in the league. It has been a persistent issue that he has had throughout his career that has limited his impact on the field. His absence once again puts more pressure on linebackers Jaylon Smith and rookie Leighton Vander Esch to carry the load.

Smith has been one of the bright spots defensively as he has shown progress in recovery from his devastating knee injury that he suffered in his final collegiate game. He has regained much of his explosiveness while being a strong factor against the run. Meanwhile, Vander Esch has proven to be worth the first round selection this year's draft as he has brought stability to the linebacker core.
