New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and wide receiver Michael Thomas have bowed out of this year's Pro Bowl. As a result, it appears Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver Michael Thomas are slated to take their place.

Brees and Thomas decided not to take part in this year's festivities due to injury. According to Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk, the Cowboys' pairing will make the trip to Orlando instead.

Prescott and Cooper will take the place of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and wide receiver Michael Thomas, who bowed out of the game due to injuries.

The Cowboys got off to a rough start to the 2018 NFL season. Fortunately, they were able to turn things around down the final stretch of the year before falling short versus the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round. They can now take solace in the fact that they will have two more representatives at this year's Pro Bowl.

It is safe to say that their success was catapulted by the trade that sent Cooper to Dallas during the season. He immediately became one of the most prolific wideouts in the NFL upon joining the Cowboys. He registered 75 catches for 1,005 yards and seven touchdowns on the year.

Meanwhile, Prescott was finally able to relish the fact that he had a bonafide No. 1 weapon in his arsenal with Cooper. He threw for 3,885 yards, 22 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while completing 67.7 percent of his passes. It will be interesting to see what this pairing can do with a full season under their belt next year.
