There were questions surrounding Dak Prescott before making his return for the Dallas Cowboys this season. But in his very first game back against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he put those all to bed.
The Cowboys QB had 403 yards and three touchdowns that came in a loss that felt very much like a win in the grander scheme of things.
Dak Prescott matched those three TDs in Week 3 as the Cowboys decimated the Philadelphia Eagles. The signal-caller dropped a bold take after the contest on where exactly he's at with his recovery.

“Yeah, I feel like I’m playing the best I’ve ever played,” declared the Cowboys star.
Coming off his injury-plagued calendar year, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who would have believed it possible, at least not this quickly. Dak Prescott was able to secure his massive contract even in the midst of his recovery and somehow is living up to it in the small sample size we've seen thus far. Being away from the game sometimes unlocks another gear in star athletes who are able to see things from a renewed perspective. That's exactly why the Cowboys star is confident he's even better than before – which should scare the rest of the NFL.
“I think just getting hurt last year and having to sit back and watch football, a different perspective and just different ways people play this game,” Prescott said. “Going back, the experience obviously has helped, but just studying and preparing myself and then all the work that I’ve put in just to get back healthy, not only the leg but the shoulder and just this playbook.”
“Obviously, the continuity and having Kellen (Moore as offensive coordinator) so many years, I’m just comfortable in this system and everything that is going on around me and having playmakers,” the Cowboys star continued. “That’s a credit to guys around me. The offensive line and the receivers, they make my job a whole lot easier.”
Dak Prescott has the Cowboys sitting pretty through three weeks, both in terms of where they stand for the present season and in their future with him at quarterback going forward. And there's reason to believe the best has yet to come.
