Dak Prescott knows the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the New Orleans Saints, 30-20, in the Superdome on Sunday to reach the NFC Championship Game. After making 13 AFC Championships with the New England Patriots, quarterback Tom Brady took Tampa to the conference title game in his first season in the NFC.

In fact, Brady has accomplished more team success in the NFC in one season than the Dallas Cowboys have in over two decades.

After the NFL Memes and ESPN's SportsCenter accounts reminded everyone that Dallas hasn't reached the NFL's final four since 1997, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott expressed his offense at the statistical nugget — and an eagerness to end the drought.

“Hold my crutches,” Dak Prescott commented, tagging his teammate, running back Ezekiel Elliot.

Dak Prescott is aware that at 43 years old, Brady tossed 40 touchdowns this season and led Tampa Bay to an 11-5 record. In two playoff games, he's completed 40 of 73 passes with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

The crutches, of course, are referencing the compound ankle fracture Dak Prescott suffered in Week 5, requiring surgery and ending what had been a prolific season amid contract negotiations.

Without their franchise QB, Dallas limped to a 6-10 record and third-place finish in the NFC East.

According to CBS Sports, Dak Prescott's recovery is ahead of schedule, and the team believes he will be fully recuperated when off-season programs begin. He is likely to receive a franchise tag for the second time at $37.7 million, which would give the two sides until July 15 to come to terms on a long-term deal.

For his career, Dak Prescott is 1-2 in three playoff starts. In 2018, he led the Cowboys to an NFC divisional round playoff appearance, which resulted in a loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys are trying to take the next step in their evolution under coach Mike McCarthy. It will be fascinating to see how they stack up against the Bucs in 2021.
