After such an impressive rookie season Dak Prescott struggled at times during his second year with the Dallas Cowboys. It has put a lot of pressure for Prescott to lead the Cowboys to a lot of success this year but if early training camp results are any indication it could be a long season for the Cowboys.
Prescott has struggled to make even the simplest of throws and it has put some of the fans into the panic. People inside the Cowboys organization are not concerned yet with the results that Prescott has put out.
Prescott’s time in training camp is uneven. We’ve seen some strong and bad throws, which isn’t unusual for any quarterback in the early stages of training camp. One team official said the Cowboys are not worried about Prescott. “He’s had a good camp,” the team official told Calvin Watkins of The Athletic. “He’s not going to force things downfield and get a freaking turnover. Just manage the offense.”
One thing that Prescott has struggled with so far in training camp according to The Athletic is his touch. He seems to either overthrow or underthrow his receiver and making that perfect pass has been hard to come by. He has had some good passes at times but for the most part, it's a bit of a surprise that people inside the organization aren't concerned, or at least they aren't saying they are.
There could be some internal concern and they are just staying behind their quarterback as they don't want to shake his confidence. Whatever the case one thing is for sure, Prescott is going to need to play better if the Cowboys want to make it back to the playoffs.
