The Dallas Cowboys have struggled to find their footing thus far in the 2018 NFL season, and injuries have played a large part in their struggles. It appears they will have to find a way to find a rhythm without center Travis Frederick and wide receiver Terrance Williams.

Both players have dealt with their fair share of health concerns as of late. According to Jeremy Bergman of NFL.com, Frederick will be placed on injured reserve as he deals with his current illness:

Frederick was placed on injured reserve, just over six weeks after being diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a disorder in which the immune system attacks the body's nervous system in response to illness.

Williams has also been placed on IR due to a lingering foot injury he suffered a few weeks ago.

Also headed to injured reserve is wide receiver Terrance Williams. The 29-year-old wideout has been bothered by a foot injury for two weeks.

Needless to say, the update deals quite a blow to the Cowboys offense. Frederick has established himself as arguably the best center in the NFL over the last few years. His presence on the offensive line has been and will continue to be missed by Dallas. However, it is clear that the four-time Pro Bowler has much bigger issues to deal with than football at the moment.

The loss of Williams for the near future just adds further salt to the wound. It is no secret that quarterback Dak Prescott has yet to build a rapport with any of his wideouts. The absence of his longest-tenured receiver will not help with his chances of getting a passing game going. As a result, the Cowboys will continue to rely heavily on the efforts of running back Ezekiel Elliott.

The return of Terrance Williams and Travis Frederick will help he Cowboys pick up some momentum. Until then, Elliot will face tremendous pressure to carry the offense.
