Dalton Schultz made it clear with the Dallas Cowboys that he wants to get paid, and he reportedly won't be attending the rest of the team's OTAs until his extension is resolved.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Schultz is getting frustrated with the status of his contract extension talks with the Cowboys. The tight end signed Dallas' tender offer worth roughly around $11 million this offseason, which is why he initially attended the team's OTAs, but he still wants a long-term extension with the franchise and let them know it with his absence.

Obviously, the two sides haven't made a huge progress and are far from coming to an agreement.

As Rapoport said, the Cleveland Browns giving TE David Njoku a massive four-year, $56.75 million contract put the Cowboys in a tough spot when it comes to their contract negotiations with Dalton Schultz.

The 25-year-old TE got a better idea of what players in his position could command in the market, and unsurprisingly, he is searching for the same. Njoku has $28 million guaranteed in his contract, so the Cowboys surely have to pay up if they want to keep Schultz for the foreseeable future.

For now, Cowboys fans can only wait and see how the team will navigate the discussions with Schultz. If Dallas fumble here, they might lose their young TE soon.
