Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Dez Bryant has remained afloat in the free agent market without any significant amount of interest in his services. This has created persistent chatter about what type of production and ability that Bryant has left at this point in his career.

With that in mind, Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott took to social media on Tuesday to support his former teammate.

Elliott may be a strong supporter of Bryant, but the 29-year-old has yet to show that can recapture the form that earned him the recognition as being one of the top wide receivers in the league that saw him put up at least 88 catches, 1,200 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns from 2012 to 2014.

Bryant has been a shadow of himself over the last three seasons failing to top 1,000 receiving yards in any of those respective campaigns. In fact, his best season over that stretch occurred in 2017 where he had 69 catches for 838 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

This has brought forth questions about whether he can create separation in one-on-one matchups, which was something that he was able to use his physicality to his advantage. Bryant hasn't been able to do that on a consistent basis over the last few years that has likely led to teams being hesitant in bringing him aboard especially on the one-year contract that he's looking to garner this offseason.

There may be many doubts about what he could provide at this point in time, but Bryant has the talent to step into just about any situation in the league to where he would be a high-impact player in the passing game. It may just be a matter of him receiving the opportunity that he views as being best for this next chapter of his career.
