Since coming into the league Randy Gregory has been nothing but trouble for the Dallas Cowboys. But through it all, they haven't given up on him.

Gregory was granted Monday his conditional reinstatement by the NFL, which he considers his last chance in the league, and he is thankful for the Cowboys for not giving up on him.

“It is (my final chance) and if it’s not I’m definitely treating it like it is,” Gregory told ESPN. “I feel like a lot of other organizations wouldn’t have stuck around for this. I think part of it is just the faith in what I can do on the field, but they also saw that I was a struggling kid that was trying to get himself back on the right path …I’m a totally different person than I was coming into the league. In some ways better. I think Jerry (Jones) and the whole organization, they understood the situation fully and there was going to be some setbacks. Hopefully this is the last one as far as all that.”

On the field, Gregory is a real talent, but even before the draft, everyone knew the troubles with him. He fell to the second round of the 2015 draft because of off the field issues at Nebraska. He has missed 30 of the last 32 games because of failed drug tests and this is his probably his last chance in the NFL.

He is allowed back in meetings with the Cowboys and on the field for conditioning but he isn't fully cleared to practice until the NFL is content with the progress he has made in the next few weeks.
